This is a family friendly resort with great pools, nightly entertainment, gourmet food, and great service. Here you will also get 24 hour room service, top shelf liquor, and free wifi.
One of the most notable qualities of the rooms at the Now Amber is their size. This is an all suite resort where even the entry level room category (junior suite ocean view) is nearly 600 sq ft, which allows for plenty of space. This comes in handy when traveling with children or even for those of us who enjoy a little more room.
Suites come with either one king bed or two double beds as well as a small sitting area. There is a large dresser and closet for clothes, as well as a nicely stocked mini bar with. The bathroom has a large shower and Jacuzzi tub and comes with bathroom amenities of lotion, shampoo, condition, and even sunscreen. The bath robes here are extremely soft. The balconies are a nice size and have a table and chairs to enjoy the great ocean view.
The Now Amber has one buffet restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a huge food selection here with chefs at various cooking stations providing fresh meals. They also host different themed dinners, such as a Mexican night with live music and authentic Mexican dishes. There are 4 a la carte restaurants (Asian, Mexican, Seafood/Steak, and Italian.
There are show style cooking stations at the Asian restaurant and Mariachi performers at the Mexican restaurant, which provides a great dining experience. Castaways Restaurant cooks a great steak and you also get to dine with stunning resort and beach views. There is also a poolside grill where you can order pizza, tacos, and light snacks for lunch. The ceviche here is delicious, I highly recommend it. The pool service here is great and the waiters really know how to look after you, and a couple tips don’t hurt either. Nearly every afternoon there is a poolside bbq lunch with salads, vegetables, fish, chicken, and beef – delicious and fresh. There is also staff who comes around with mini food carts. One day it was popsicles and another day it was tender roast beef; talk about service.
Stop by the coffee shop where you can enjoy a cappuccino, mocha, or latte as well as some small sandwiches and baked goods. There are also some computers in here to catch up on your social media while on vacation.
Be sure to spend some time in the open air lobby bar. This is a great place to enjoy the evening with a beautiful view and sounds of live music playing.
Consider upgrading to the Preferred Club room categories. When you stay in a Preferred Club suite you are in a separate tower which is closer to the beach and has better views. There is also a lounge which only guests staying in the Preferred Club suites have access to. There is a separate bar as well as a sitting area and there is always fresh snacks here too. This is a great place to relax, meet friends or family, grab a refreshment, or even a quick snack on the way to your room. Well worth the upgrade!
