There are many people who enjoy booking their own travel plans. They generally check Google first, then move on to sites such as Expedia, Tripadvisor, Bookit.com, and countless others. What is wrong with this you ask? Absolutely nothing! Some people love doing the research themselves, looking at all the options, destinations, possibilities, hotel rooms, size of pools, and type of food they might get on their vacation.
Have you ever started to look into a potential vacation? It can be both exciting and
overwhelming at the same time. There are so many websites out with information ~ who do you trust? Which ones are accurate? Are the pictures recent or 10 years old? Does the beach still look like that? You would be suprised at how many web sites do not have current information yet are still selling properties to clients!
Another thing to remember… a lot of advertised prices do not include all taxes and fees; this is a very common occurrence. Some suppliers have tax amounts of over $400 per person. This means that your $700 last minute deal to Puerto Vallarta is now actually $1100; still a great deal, but not what you originally thought. Also be sure that the flights are what you want; are direct flights included or flights with a 15 hour layover somewhere which gets you to your destination at 4 am?
This brings us to the question: Why me? My job (and my passion) as a travel specialist is to do all that work for you. I will find you what you want without you having to spend hours, days, and weeks going through all the resort and flight options in your down time, when you should be doing other things (spending time with family, enjoying a game, wrapping those Christmas presents, catching up with an old friend…) I am also able to provide you with options and recommendations to make your vacation a perfect one, or maybe give you suggestions for an alternate vacation. For example, did you know that we now have direct flights out of Vancouver to Orlando? This means that instead of going back to Disneyland you could now head to Disneyworld with your family, what a great option?
I always use reputable suppliers to ensure your vacation goes smoothly, and if there is a slight problem with any aspect of your vacation I am here to help you fix it; that’s my job! I also maintain close relationships with many industry representatives and regularly visit destinations to keep up on maintenance, new builds, and overall quality, which in turn allows me to provide you with better service, and ultimately getting you the best vacation.
So, for your next vacation anywhere in the world, be it a wine tour in California, a river cruise in Europe, a beach vacation, a Las Vegas getaway, an Alaska cruise based out of Vancouver, or your destination wedding, remember to pick up the phone or drop me an email, and let me do the work for you!
